What is Happening With Blogging

Blogging has long been a favorite hobby, marketing tactic, or online tracking tool.  Many have come to appreciate the blogging community, and the multitude of benefits that it offers.    Like all bloggers I am having some difficulty moving on to other blogging form than what I gleamed a blog was.  No doubt many of you will be yelling move on girl, times are changing…Agreed and I am moving along but it just has a different face and not so sure I appreciate it like the typical blogging story.

Twitter has come and many even suggest will take down the blogging community.  One our YourNetBiz members came to me yesterday claiming I was out of whack in your training story regarding blogging.     I had helped this person set up blog in our business mentoring and they were angry because according to a death report about blogging, (I didn’t read it and do not know the author and no way saying some of the material isn’t factual), claiming Twitter was taken over blogging.  I love twitter, the functionality and the environment.

Yet, I still love blogging.  I see the post that claim that blogging will soon be forgotten and twitter will lead the community.  I love twitter, but not much thoughts, feelings; explanation can go forth in 140 characters.  We love to connect, and we love to be able to connect on different levels.    Twitter and blogging now go hand in hand, but I will dispute that the bloggining community will be tweeted out.

I do miss the blogging days where it was all about community.  I still write and still enjoy reading others author’s sites.  To share creativity and insight on everything from online marketing, self-development, health and nutrition, to child care.  I see more and more of the traditional blogging going out the door.   I have built My Internet Business with two platforms my website, and blogs were the center of my business, everything else revolved around my website and blog.  Nowadays the main promotional center is the website and blog.  Yes, I think this is great for numerous reasons, yet it sometimes feels like a different community due to its layout.

Bogging was educational, and sharing and about creating your community.  I think having a blatant sales pitch integrated with your blog loses the sense of community.  I do think it matters who the community you are working with is.  If you are writing and working with just people coming into the business then this may be a perfect solution, but sometimes I wonder does this lessen the impact of the blog, or lose the main focus of what a blog should bring?

To my Your Net Biz members who think blogging is going to be yesterday’s news, I don’t think the power of a blog will every escape our online community.  Blogging isn’t just a job, nor to acquire customers, it also creates that social networking that is proving to be more valuable then ever before.

The fact is we won’t be saying goodbye to blogging or twitter anytime soon.   They are as solid and secure as our giant king Google.
