Should You Make Money With Twitter?  

What are you doing right now?  Everyone from stars, to your friends, college students,  high school students, and business corporations, are tapping into Twitter.   The craze for Twitter has caused many to create widgets, some powerful, some not so powerful.  And we are also seeing so called twitter experts tapping in on the education factor of twitter.  How To make money with twitter?  How to get more friends with Twitter?    Is all this information blinding you on the main purpose of what Twitter really is?

What is Twitter?  Twitter can be utilized for two reasons personal and business.  For many twitters is used just to stay in touch with family and friends.  You can quickly type in a text telling everyone what you are up to.  But the other side of twitter is utilized for business avenues.  This is where many are claiming to have the key, and the underground secret to make money with a simple tweet.

But do you really want to sell on twitter?  Some common sense needs to be used when sharing your business portfolio, as not everyone is going to really care what you have to say.    It is not okay to type in a message buy this great product from me.  People did not come to twitter to receive a sales pitch. 

On the flip side it is a great way to share your businesses latest news, blog post, collaborate with like minded people and even to stay in touch with current client base.  

The bigger question comes how can a social networking site that allows you to only use only 140 characters about what you are doing be such a phenomenon?  It boils down to the; What are you doing line, how much can that really tell us?

It can actually share a lot, and make you feel connected to the ones following you.    As simple as cooking dinner, allows those to relate to you on a personal level.  The same goes with business.  While many times people come in claiming to be experts on twitter by sharing information, there is always the personal side of business as well.

Not everyone is an expert all of the time.  You don’t want to be some no it all snob, that takes over Twitter.   Go ahead show your strengths but also show your weaknesses.  Why would I want to follow someone who doesn’t give valuable information, but doesn’t also show a real side to them as individuals and as business associates?

The eBooks and trainings can be useful for one trying to unlock Twitter code, however some in my opinion are just trying to cash in on this phenomenon.   If everyone were to use the same blue print on twitter, then it would lose the quality I have come expect.  Not everyone should be the same, not everyone should try manipulating twitter to profit

In my opinion the biggest secret to twitter, is to use it and be yourself and not what you think others want you to be.  No, this isn’t big secret as I am sure you were taught this years ago.  The real key to twitter is to be unique, offer valuable content, and join the twitter craze.
