The Quality Leads Myth – What Are Quality Leads And Where Do They Come From

Leads are one of those algorisms that I dislike in business.    If you have seen my Internet Marketing education reviews then you know the number one thing that I dislike about building an online business are purchased leads.   They have an attraction to Internet Business newbie’s, and they claim to create an easy way to make money online.  Although the headlines will lead you to believe this, for most it only takes two purchases to have them running in the other direction.

Is their thing as quality leads?  My answer may shock you as I have told you I hate leads, but Yes there are such things as quality leads.  But it is not the type you pay for, nor is the type manufactured from someone else.   The most quality leads for any online business opportunities from home, real estate business, or insurance business are those that you generate for yourself.

Lets make one thing clear, leads is not marketing.  When you put a dollar amount into a marketing companies hand it isn’t marketing, rather shooting for many denials and no’s, to finally get to a yes.  If you buy enough leads you will make sales, however how much did you spend to earn that money.   How many tiresome no’s do you have to go through.

In our business mentoring for YourNetBiz and My Internet Business I have had members that have made money with lead companies before they joined with us. But it came with a price, and not the money price that we are so used to hearing; it almost cost them their online careers do to the burn out of handling these types of leads.    Its called burn out, of making over a hundred calls a day to talk to maybe a 1/3 of that on a good day, who beat you down with a no.

So why are these leads not quality leads?  No matter how targeted leads suggest to be they are not as targeted as if you generate the leads yourself.  You will go through more no’s and tiring days of picking up the phone, compared to when you generate your own leads. They are hot, they know what you have and they already have a strong desire.

There is no calling and selling and hearing no over and over again.  They want your information.

If you are serious about making money online, then your first step is to stop paying for leads, and high dollar advertising that is not working.  Learn how to tap into your target audience and market to them.    I see people paying high dollar amounts per lead, that will lead them down the path to destruction, rather than learning free marketing strategies.  Why pay for what you can do for yourself.
