Bing VS Google Should The Boxing Gloves Be On
- 0 Comments
First off what a name..Bing, but I am sure when Google was first introduced people thought the same. I will be honest when I first heard of Bing as becoming the next major search engine, I kind of shrugged it off. There have been a lot of different search engines that have attempted to get the qualifications that Google has, however has not even come close. Yet, Bing is certainly drawing some attention. Is it move over Google, or is it join us Bing, Google will remain king?
As a SEO Trainer for YourNetBiz, I test and retest different search engines and there behaviors to website marketing. Where they place, how they place, and what impact that has on our overall traffic appeal. In training our members in Your Net Biz a My Internet Business LLC we run test due to the fact that we want to stay on top of all the latest search engine marketing trends. Surprisingly Bing, hit our testing phase early on over the overwhelming publicity, and over a short time we have increasingly seen more traffic stemming from Bing. How wide is the gap between Google and Bing, and are we going to see a major shift between Internet users retiring Google searches and heading over to Bing to find information.
While Bing has certainly caused a lot of Bling Bling, I do not think Google will be dethroned as the top search engine. But I will grant Bling on some of the added benefits. One of my favorites is the table of contents, and the general clean design of the search results. When you do searches the graphics are much more appealing in design and then Google.
Google does get more specific on orginal search, while in Bling I have to go to the news section to get the up to date information on some searches. However in cross comparing keywords Bling seems to bring up the same relavency as Google.
In our YourNetBiz business mentoring and coaching classes there was a debate. Many of my members who have reached top search results for Google worried over the effect Bing would have on there traffic. For some reason people worry over a new added feature on the Internet. A new search engines is just another way to get your information in front of your target audience. Do we know exactly what Bing is looking for no, but we still are testing and retesting marketing strategies for Google. This should not send entreprenuers or Internet Business owners into a frenzy. Google is not going anywhere, it has earned its positions as top search engines and will not easily go away.
Will Bing stay or will Bing go, seems to be a major topic online. While most everyone loves the user friendly search engine, with the clean cut and attractive design many do not think it will last. People trust there searches with Google, even Yahoo, and will not sway far from what is there norm. I am not so sure this is true, I think people are looking for new innovative ways to get information to them. Bing may stay it may go, it all depends on the popularity of the people. But the one thing we can all be sure of is that Google is going to stay on top, and they do not need the boxing gloves to remain king.
