Ezine Article - Stop The Duplicate Content

I am questioned frequently in my business mentoring classes whether or not to send out ezine articles to numerous directories.  The answer is yes and no and you may be surprised at my response.

Those looking to make money online with direct sales companies or with  an Internet Business sometimes become so caught up in the slogans, the automated software, and the thought that more is better.  Why yes in some circumstances more is better, when it comes to ezine articles sometimes less is the best route to go.

Yes, I write ezines for My Internet Business, and yes I have made money using this free marketing source, but what I don’t do is spread that same article to numerous ezine directories.  If you have read and learned about ezine articles and how they should be distributed you may be saying, this women doesn’t know what she is talking about, I have to say I beg to differ.

Duplicate content is a sure fire way to not have your article, or the back links on the article ranking on the search engines.  While I appreciate the traffic that directories provide, I have researched and tested the ezine directory traffic to the search engine traffic, and by far he search engine traffic is going to convert to more sales.  Think about it you are looking for a product review, are you going to go to ezine directories to research it, or are you going to use Google.  Google will win every time.

To insure you get that natural search engine ranking then don’t duplicate the content.  However, you can make one article go a long way, and you can resubmit that article to other directories without it being duplicate content.

Take the article you have written, change the headline and reword and rephrase, and move your sentences around, of course being conscience that it still will make since to your readers.  Then resubmit it.  I am not suggesting to come up with fresh ideas for every article, use what you have and just make it new to the search engines and to the readers. 

To this day I will in my business mentoring classes will be asked if a magic automated software to submit your articles to numerous directories is valuable.  Regardless, of the promises the hype and the claim of thousands of visitors and increase number of back links I don’t believe this is the best route to go.  Natural search engine rankings, means just that.  Keep it natural, keep it fresh and please keep it original.
